Beceems chip set is already in commercial operation in Korea, wheres its used with the Korean Telecom WiMax network.
Feb. 11, 2008- Privately held Beceem has announced a 4G multimode platform for both LTE and WiMAX 4G networks that supports peak broadband download speeds of up to 200Mbps.
- Beceem is the first company to develop a 4G “multimode platform” that can work on both LTE and WiMax 4G networks.

The trial in Portland is one of the largest mobile WiMAX network trials in the country, encompassing approximately 145 square miles and more than 40 base stations.
